Mingqi has not yet given us any posible dates for Scienta to come down to help us dismount the two rotary seals.
We showed today that, beyond doubt, the whole setup is very unbalanced. Adding another 60 kg to the shelf on the ion pump made the rotation go much smoother but it is still not perfectly balanced.
We are now having some doubts about the total payload on the seals. The overall weight is far more than the specifications for the RNN400 & 600 in the Thermionics data sheet. Have written to Thermionics about it.
